About the Role: Join our clients dynamic Geotechnical Engineering team in Edinburgh or Glasgow! They are seeking a motivated and ambitious Senior Geotechnical Engineer to contribute to their diverse projects and drive strategic growth in the renewable’s infrastructure market across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Responsibilities:
- Lead geotechnical aspects of projects, ensuring technical quality and budget adherence.
- Support senior team members in project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Actively participate in team and client meetings, presenting ideas and concepts.
- Prepare fee proposals and technical documents including desk studies, interpretative reports, and design specifications.
- Oversee and undertake geotechnical designs (earthworks, piling, seepage, etc.).
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.
Background:
Qualifications:
- BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering or BSc/MSc in Engineering Geology/Earth Science with an Engineering Masters.
- Professional Membership: Membership of ICE/Geological Society, nearing chartered status.
Experience:
- Experience in geotechnical consultancy/contracting in the UK, with knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices.
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Other:
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK and Ireland.
