What You’ll Lead

As a senior member of our mechanical design team, you’ll influence project direction from day one. You will:

  • Deliver clear, concise, high-quality engineering outputs, including calculations, reports, drawings, schedules and P&IDs
  • Drive coordination across multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical systems
  • Manage interfaces across civil, electrical, process and digital design functions
  • Provide critical input across the design lifecycle, from feasibility through to construction
  • Lead tender and bid reviews and evaluate subcontractor designs
  • Offer technical expertise on-site when required
  • Mentor engineers, guide technical teams, and support capability growth
  • Oversee budgets, programmes, risk, quality and delivery performance

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for leaders who can elevate the team, support clients, and deliver excellence. You’ll need:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar discipline)
  • Experience in water, wastewater or a relevant engineering sector
  • Strong technical understanding of clean water and wastewater system design
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, CDM, procurement processes, and document control
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and digital skills
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with a drive for efficient, high-quality engineering

Desirable:

  • Professional qualification (IEng / CEng MIMechE)
  • Proven leadership or mentoring experience
  • Commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and career growth
