The Role
To support this next phase, we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Water Non-Infrastructure Commercial team, based in Peterborough. As a Quantity Surveyor within the @one Alliance, you will act as the commercial conscience of the integrated delivery team, providing expert commercial support to both delivery management and site teams. You’ll ensure costs are controlled, value is maximised, risks are minimised, and quality and safety standards are upheld—while maintaining full compliance with Alliance and Anglian Water governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of commercial and cost management for projects, as directed by the Project Commercial Manager
- Deliver accurate, timely cost reporting, analysis, and data to support commercial decision-making
- Ensure project teams fully understand contractual arrangements and client requirements
- Collaborate with delivery teams to identify, implement, and monitor efficiency improvements throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain robust commercial records, including final accounts, to support audits and cost assurance activities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience in cost and commercial management
- A degree (or equivalent) in engineering, management, or a cost-related discipline (desirable, but not essential)
- A strong passion for pursuing a career in Commercial Management
You’ll bring excellent customer service and leadership skills, a strong understanding of construction and safety practices, and the confidence to challenge existing processes to drive continuous improvement.
