A thriving multidiscipline engineering consultancy in Derby is seeking a Principal or Associate level Structural Engineer to lead complex, high-quality building projects and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

You will work on a varied and technically challenging portfolio, including large mixed-use urban developments, taking full responsibility for projects from concept through delivery.

As a lead engineer, you will head design teams, act as a confident client-facing technical authority, and collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and junior engineers to deliver outstanding results.

This role will suit a natural technical leader who combines strong design expertise with commercial awareness and excellent communication skills. Experience with building structures, the design process, and industry-standard software such as Tedds and Tekla is essential. Chartered engineers are preferred, but our client will consider candidates with the necessary experience who are keen to gain Chartership.
