Are you a passionate Civil Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to join a growing, forward-thinking practice? Our client is based in the heart of Nottingham, and they are currently looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to work closely with the Civils Director to help build the team and deliver creative, efficient, and innovative projects across the UK.
They specialize in delivering high-quality, practical solutions that are tailored to clients' needs, with a focus on efficiency and creativity. The role:
- Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet client requirements.
- Work closely with the Civils Director to help build and grow the engineering team, providing guidance and support to junior engineers.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Oversee the production of technical reports, drawings, and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, bids, and tenders.
- Support the Director with strategic planning, business development, and client relationship management.
- Play an active role in driving innovation and efficiency in project delivery.
About you:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (preferably Chartered or working towards Chartership).
- Proven experience delivering civil engineering projects across a range of sectors, including infrastructure, flood risk, site investigations, and transportation.
- Strong technical expertise and a solid understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and colleagues.
- Experience in managing teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach to project delivery.
