The Opportunity
Working alongside regional leadership, you’ll act as the focal point for geotechnical expertise locally, contributing to a diverse portfolio of projects. In this role, you’ll be involved in:
- Leading and delivering ground investigations and geotechnical designs
- Developing robust and reliable ground models
- Producing clear, high-quality interpretative reports
- Designing geotechnical solutions including foundations, earthworks, slopes, retaining structures, and ground improvement
- Acting as a technical leader and helping grow the geotechnical capability within the Birmingham team
No two projects are the same, and your work will directly contribute to solving real-world engineering challenges while supporting the continued growth of the business.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced and confident geotechnical professional with a strong consultancy background. Ideally, you will have:
- A degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering (BEng, BSc or higher)
- Chartered status with a relevant professional body
- Proven experience scoping and delivering geotechnical investigations and designs
- Strong ground modelling and interpretive reporting skills
- Experience designing a range of geotechnical structures
- Confidence leading technical delivery and working independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
