Murphy is recruiting for a Senior Planner to join our growing Infrastructure team, delivering water infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects in partnership with Thames Water, as part of the AMP8 framework.
A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Planner:
- Undertake the tender planning role in accordance with the business' procedures and processes and the requirements of the contract.
- Ensure that integrated, whole life programmes are prepared from first principles.
- Contribute the required written submission material.
- Attend the bid review meeting to contribute a clear view of the work scope and the intentions for delivering it by reference to prepared material.
- Attend the handover meeting to contribute a clear view of the work scope and the intentions for delivering it by reference to prepared material and further defined tasks.
- In consultation with Estimator, advise project team of required feedback reports.
- Coach and mentor planning staff and support their professional development.
- Ensure that the scheduling of programmes is appropriate, contract/procedurally compliant, robust, and obtainable.
- Undertake and participate in programme risk workshops using tools such as QSRA.
- Develop and maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with the Client and other project stakeholders.
- Managing Compensation events from Subcontractors and to Client.

- NEC contract experience essential.
