Our client is seeking a Civil Engineering Director to lead and develop their existing established civil engineering team.
They are looking for a dynamic leader who would be keen to take ownership of the civils side of the business, with vision to shape the future of the team and develop client relationships, adding value through excellence in design with a focus on sustainability.
You will lead and manage drainage projects from inception through to completion.
You will play a pivotal role in the technical delivery of below ground drainage systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices.
You will also mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering an environment of growth and knowledge-sharing within the team.
Key
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and delivery of below ground drainage systems for a range of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, supporting their development and helping to build a strong team culture.
Collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and client expectations are exceeded.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines, including SUDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) and drainage design standards.
Proficiently use relevant engineering software (e. g., Micro Drainage, Auto CAD, Civil 3D) to produce detailed designs, calculations, and reports.
Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals and project documentation.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure continued professional growth and the delivery of cutting-edge solutions.
