The Role

  • You will take commercial responsibility for civil engineering projects from pre-contract through to final account, ensuring effective cost control, value management, and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full commercial management of civil engineering projects
  • Preparation, submission, and agreement of interim valuations and variations
  • Cost forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management
  • Subcontractor procurement, administration, and payment
  • Management of change, risk, and opportunity
  • Working closely with site and project management teams
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and internal procedures

About You

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering
  • Strong knowledge of NEC forms of contract (or similar)
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing subcontract packages and final accounts
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or workstreams
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification (or equivalent experience)
