A well-established civil engineering contractor operating across Scotland is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. The role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of civil infrastructure projects across the Central Belt within a stable and forward-thinking organisation.
The Role
- You will take commercial responsibility for civil engineering projects from pre-contract through to final account, ensuring effective cost control, value management, and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Full commercial management of civil engineering projects
- Preparation, submission, and agreement of interim valuations and variations
- Cost forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management
- Subcontractor procurement, administration, and payment
- Management of change, risk, and opportunity
- Working closely with site and project management teams
- Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and internal procedures
About You
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering
- Strong knowledge of NEC forms of contract (or similar)
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Experience managing subcontract packages and final accounts
- Ability to manage multiple projects or workstreams
- Relevant degree or professional qualification (or equivalent experience)
