Murphy is recruiting for an Engineering Manager to work with the Energy Team on the SSE ASTI Framework .

A day in the life of a Murphy Engineering Manager:
- Assist with temporary works design schemes.
- Maintain good working relations with clients, designers, team members, and supply chain partners.
- Advise engineers on setting out methods and techniques.
- Ensure drawings and specifications contain sufficient, accurate information for construction; formally request missing information promptly to avoid delays.
- Communicate effectively with foremen and supervisors to ensure understanding of provided information.
- Oversee the selection and requisition of materials and plant for construction.
- Prepare risk assessments and method statements for work control.
- Maintain a detailed daily site diary, recording changes, subcontractor attendance, and discussions with clients and the project team.
- Ensure inspection and test plans are completed according to PMP/Specification, including dimension and quality checks.
