AECOM is seeking to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer with a highways and drainage focus to join our busy Development Infrastructure Team. The team delivers a wide range of multidisciplinary, predominantly residential-led infrastructure projects. Our work spans early scoping and feasibility, technical support for planning, detailed infrastructure design for implementation, and ongoing support during construction.

In addition, the team supports AECOM design teams across the UK and Ireland on a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects, including highways, rail, water infrastructure, and solar farms. We also provide civil engineering design support to our structural engineering colleagues on projects across commercial, education, leisure, defence, healthcare, and other government sectors.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Lead the technical designs and digital delivery of civil engineering projects.
  • Prepare and review survey specifications, including utilities and topographical surveys.
  • Check and coordinate the production of studies, assessments, and conceptual designs for development schemes (drainage, highways, utilities, earthworks, and flood risk).
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and key stakeholders to secure approvals and ensure compliance.
  • Contribute to bids and proposals, attend project meetings, and confidently communicate technical solutions.

Come grow with us:

And let's not forget about the perks at AECOM. You'll enjoy a range of core and personalised benefits designed to support your future and well-being, customised to fit your lifestyle. Take advantage of career development opportunities, our flexible hybrid working model to ensure a work-life balance that suits your lifestyle, technical practice networks, AECOM University, and volunteering days.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

Requirements:
