A civil engineer with consulting engineering experience is required by a leading developer.
You will gain new client side skills whilst applying your existing engineering knowledge.
Your role will encompass land acquisition stages, managing design delivery, overseeing completion of projects on site and detail design.
Terms of employment are generous and hybrid working will typically allow you to be home based two days per week.
You will work alongside a team of civil engineers, architects and surveyors as a key member of their in-house technical team, providing front-end advice on roads and drainage feasibility prior to land purchase, design, co-ordination and site monitoring.
Your line manager, a chartered civil engineer, will provide support, guidance, and additional mentorship if you are working towards ICE chartership or incorporation.
The position offers experience in the development side of the business that is as varied as it is interesting.
You will work closely with their land development team to advise on the suitability of new sites and co-ordinate designs with in-house architects.
There will be liaison with utilities and local authorities and the requirement to make occasional site visits.
Background & Qualifications Required
You should be a degree or HND qualified civil engineer with at least four years experience in highways, roads or drainage design experience, gained in a consulting engineering environment.
A working knowledge of Auto CAD and industry standard design software.
In addition to your technical background you will need good organisational and interpersonal skills.
An expensed company car or allowance will be provided, a valid UK driving license is essential.
