The Company
We are looking to procure a Site Agent for a highly respected civil engineering contractor with a strong regional presence across the South West. Well established yet continuing to grow, the business delivers a diverse range of highways and infrastructure schemes through long-term frameworks and repeat client relationships. Their work is focused on highways structures and reinforced concrete projects, including bridges, retaining walls, culverts, parapets and associated highway assets, typically delivered as small to medium value schemes south of Bristol. Known for their technical competence, collaborative approach and consistently high standards, they have built an excellent reputation for safe, reliable and high-quality delivery. With a secure pipeline of framework work, they are now looking to strengthen their Bristol-based team with the appointment of an experienced Site Agent.
The Role
As Site Agent, you will take responsibility for the delivery of multiple RC and highways structures projects, managing site operations and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with framework and client requirements. You will act as the key point of contact between the client, subcontractors and internal teams. Key duties will include:
- Chairing and attending client and progress meetings
- Managing and coordinating subcontractors and supply chain partners
- Leading, supervising and coordinating site teams
- Short-term planning and look-ahead programming
- Drafting, reviewing and checking RAMS
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction details
- Managing quality assurance and health & safety on site
- Ensuring compliance with framework, project and company procedures
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a capable and driven Site Agent with a strong civil engineering background and demonstrable experience working on highways structures frameworks, who can bring:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Experience working for a civil engineering main contractor
- Proven delivery experience on highways structures and RC schemes
- Experience working within Highways Schemes or Structures frameworks
- A commercially aware, solutions-focused mindset
- Strong leadership, coordination and communication skills
- A detail-driven approach to quality, safety and programme
