Base Salaries (depending on skills and experience):
- Birmingham: £32,050pa to c.£37,700pa.
- London: £36,000pa to c.£42,350pa.
Plus a fully-pensionable flexible benefits fund of 15%, paid on top of your base salary.

About The Role:
As an Assistant Commercial Manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting the commercial team in administering the NEC3 Option F main contract with the BBVS (Balfour Beatty, Vinci, Systra) JV. Providing assurance to the Head of Commercial on all Delivery commercial activities, your other responsibilities will include developing works information, supporting the development of contract management plans, managing resourcing processes and providing cost verification assurance. You’ll provide invaluable support by offering contract and commercial advice and contributing to monthly contract, programme performance and other reviews. You’ll also play a key role in enabling a collaborative culture that encourages innovation, maximises knowledge sharing, enhances capability and embeds industry best practice.
About You:
Experienced in working with project commercial management teams, you’ve ideally also worked with a publicly funded body or project. As well as bringing contract, commercial and risk management ability, your collaborative and partnering skills will enable you to engage with stakeholders from the Integrated Project Team and across the wider HS2 organisation. With a good knowledge of contract management, governance, assurance and compliance, you should be capable of supporting the management of effective, value-driven supply chain relationships. We’re also looking for your ability to support the development of policies and processes, using commercial management and reporting systems.
