18-36 hours per week, over 2‑4 9‑hour shifts, worked over 7 days including weekends and bank holidays, from 10:00pm to 7:00am. 5 weeks holiday pay plus bank holidays. Expenses paid at 45p per mile. Nottinghamshire Hospice is a leading provider of compassionate, community-based palliative care for people living with terminal or life-limiting illness across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Our Hospice offers staff the unique privilege to walk alongside patients and their families at this significant time of their lives while providing compassionate care and support. We deliver high-quality, excellent palliative care for patients living with a life-limiting condition and we also support their families and friends, both before and after death.
You will work within a supportive multi‑disciplinary team, in a professional service, making a real difference to the lives of patients and their families. Working in an environment where the patient is truly the centre of care, you will be part of a supportive and fun team where everyone is valued for their unique skills and experience. You do not need palliative care experience (although that would be great) as we offer a comprehensive induction package. Our Hospice in Your Home Team provides planned 1:1 care and a roaming service to people in their own homes. The successful postholder will work shifts across the week, including weekends and bank holidays, on a planned rota basis.

You must have Health Care Assistant experience and possess a minimum of a Care Certificate qualification. Support will be given to the postholder to develop their career ambitions. You must possess a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle. You don’t need to meet every desirable criterion — we recruit based on values.
