The predicted salary is between 12698 - 12887 £ per year.

£13,219.03 - £13,760.35 per annum (depending on experience) plus a 30% enhancement when working weekends. This is a permanent position for 20 hours a week over a 7‑day rota, including every other weekend.

About Us

St Catherine’s Hospice is a respected local charity providing specialist hospice care alongside statutory partners across West Sussex and East Surrey. We support a diverse community and welcome applications from all backgrounds.

The Role

As a Housekeeping Assistant you will work 20 hours per week, 4 days over a 7‑day rota. Your shifts run 7:30 am – 1 pm and 1 pm – 6:30 pm. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness in both clinical and non‑clinical areas and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for patients, families and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in both clinical and non‑clinical areas.
  • Follow infection prevention and control procedures throughout your work.
  • Clean and maintain patient rooms with sensitivity, compassion and respect.
  • Ensure all areas are welcoming and safe for patients, visitors and staff.

Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in a housekeeping environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. You should be able to work to Health & Safety and COSHH standards.
