The role involves leading our Marketing, Design and Digital Services, as well as client relationships, developing strategic communications, creating winning proposals/pitches, and driving ICE's external profile. ICE's mission is to work with individuals, communities, and organisations to co-create a well, confident, and resilient society. This role is central to driving that mission forward through awareness raising opportunities and direct impact on revenue growth.

You will be responsible for:

  • Nurturing trusted client partnerships
  • Developing communications and engagement strategies
  • Responding to client/tender opportunities
  • Amplifying ICE's brand visibility and impact across key markets
  • Leading external engagement and PR initiatives
  • Shaping ICE's voice and building brand reputation

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for key clients
  • Leading client account planning
  • Translating client goals into actionable communications and engagement strategies
  • Facilitating clear communication between clients and internal teams
  • Identifying opportunities for account growth and innovation
  • Developing and overseeing multi-channel communications campaigns
  • Crafting and reviewing compelling narratives and campaign messages
  • Supporting the delivery of sales and promotional campaigns
  • Leading the creation of winning tenders, bids and proposals
  • Ensuring consistent messaging and creative direction
  • Leading campaign evaluation and reporting
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with media and partners
  • Developing and implementing PR and thought leadership strategies
  • Identifying opportunities for speaking engagements and events
  • Collaborating with the leadership team on brand initiatives
  • Mentoring and developing account managers and the communications team
  • Contributing to internal communications
  • Actively contributing to ICE's growth strategy

Essential existing skills and experience include:

  • Recognised Marketing Qualification
  • Business Development experience
  • Agency background with strong client management skills
  • Understanding of behaviour change concepts
  • Stakeholder management and business development
  • Cross-channel campaign experience
  • Bid writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • A collaborative mindset
  • Experience in using digital platforms
  • Understanding of Public Sector Procurement and Health models
  • NHS or health marketing experience
