We are currently recruiting experienced Mechanical Fitters for a long-term mechanical installation package on a major data centre project in Weybridge, Surrey.
Location: Weybridge, Surrey
Rate: £28.00–£29.00 per hour
Duration: Long-term work
Hours: Full-time
Duties:
- Installation and assembly of mechanical plant and equipment within a data centre environment.
- Installation of pumps, valves, AHUs, FCUs, pipework supports, brackets, and associated mechanical services.
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Carrying out mechanical fit-out works to a high standard.
- Assisting with testing, commissioning, and system handovers where required.
- Maintaining strict adherence to site health and safety requirements.
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS Skilled Worker Card (Blue or Gold preferred).
- Relevant NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering Services, Engineering Maintenance, Mechanical Fitting, or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter on commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, or data centre projects.
- Ability to read and work from technical and mechanical drawings.
- Own tools and full PPE.
Preferred:
- IPAF 3a/3b certification.
- PASMA certification.
- Previous experience working on data centre projects.
- Knowledge of mechanical plant installation and commissioning processes.
- SSSTS qualification for candidates with supervisory experience.
