Electrician β M&E (Data Centre Project)
Location: Weybridge, Surrey Rate: Β£29 per hour (depending on experience) Duration: Long-term ongoing work Start Date: Imminent / Project starting soon
We are currently recruiting experienced Electricians for a major M&E data centre project in Weybridge.
This is a long-term opportunity on a high-profile, fast-paced installation within a critical infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical installation works on a large-scale commercial data centre project
- Installation of containment systems (tray, trunking, conduit)
- Pulling, dressing, and terminating cables
- Reading and working from technical drawings and schematics
- Supporting testing and inspection activities
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and to specification
- Coordinating with supervisors and other trades on site
- Maintaining high standards of quality and compliance
- Required Experience
- Proven experience as a qualified electrician on commercial or industrial projects
- Previous experience on data centre or critical infrastructure projects (preferred)
- Strong background in containment and electrical installation works
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience working within structured site environments and programmes
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures on construction sites
- Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Valid ECS Gold Card (Electrician)
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
- AM2 (or equivalent apprenticeship completion)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- IPAF (desirable)
- PASMA (desirable)
- Valid CSCS card (if required for site access)
- First Aid at Work (advantageous)
Licence/Certification
- ECS Gold Card (Electrician) (required)
