A leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a major healthcare project in Wexford Town. This is a high-profile, technically complex build within the healthcare sector, requiring strong leadership across both site delivery and project execution. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving programme certainty, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-time delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for project delivery, programme, and construction performance
- Lead and coordinate site-based teams including Project Managers, Engineers, and Supervisors
- Develop and drive construction programme, sequencing, and logistics strategy
- Monitor progress against programme and implement recovery plans where required
- Ensure safe delivery of works in line with company and statutory H&S standards
- Manage subcontractor performance, coordination, and site productivity
- Chair regular site and progress meetings with internal teams and stakeholders
- Liaise with commercial and design teams to ensure alignment across delivery, cost, and design
- Identify and manage project risks, resolving issues impacting delivery
- Ensure quality standards are achieved across all phases of construction
- Provide regular reporting to senior management on programme, risk, and progress
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager on large-scale building projects
- Strong main contractor background essential
- Experience delivering healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other complex live-environment projects desirable
- Strong leadership and team management skills across multi-disciplinary site teams
- Excellent understanding of construction sequencing, buildability, and programme management
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to drive performance on fast-paced, complex projects
