An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cost Planner to join a leading residential developer, supporting pre-contract quantity surveying functions under the guidance of a Senior Cost Planner. This role will contribute directly to project decisions from early feasibility through to detailed design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of cost plans from feasibility to detailed planning stages.
  • Assist in measurement and interpretation of planned works.
  • Attend design team meetings and report updates to the Senior Cost Planner.
  • Provide benchmarking and budget insights from live projects.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to align specifications with market expectations.
  • Assist in preparing and interpreting Bills of Quantities.
  • Contribute to maintaining a comprehensive cost database.
  • Support in preparing and submitting Part V applications.
  • Liaise with PQS consultants and ensure current project information is shared.
  • Attend meetings and site visits as required.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ post-graduate experience with a PQS or developer.
  • Proficiency in Buildsoft-Cubit, Cost-ex (or similar), and Microsoft Office.
