Overview

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a leading main contractor to oversee the fit out of an administrative building on a data centre project in Newport. The role is ideal for candidates with experience in data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or similar high-spec projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all on-site activities for the fit-out package, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality.

  • Coordinate subcontractors and direct labour to maintain efficient site operations.

  • Implement and enforce site health & safety standards at all times.

  • Review drawings and specifications, proactively resolving any technical or coordination issues.

  • Monitor programme schedules, progress, and quality, reporting to senior management as required.

  • Liaise with project stakeholders including design teams, consultants, and supply chain partners.

  • Maintain comprehensive site records in line with company and statutory requirements.

Requirements

  • Degree or trade qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years\’ experience as a Site Manager on data centre, pharma, industrial, or large-scale fit-out projects.

  • Strong understanding of fit-out methodologies and coordination of complex services.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to drive high standards and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Package

  • Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 (depending on experience).
