Overview

Site Engineer – HS2 Civils
Location: Midlands (Birmingham area)

We’re looking for Site Engineers to join a longterm HS2 civils project in the Midlands. You’ll be working on pumping stations, access roads, drainage and reinforced concrete structures – key packages on a £15m+ job with at least 3 years of secured work.

This is with a leading main contractor who pride themselves on looking after their people. If you impress, you’ll be rewarded with quick pay rises, career progression, and the chance to step into Senior Site Engineer in the near future.

The Package

  • £50,000 – £55,000 base salary
  • £7,500 car allowance (or company car / travel allowance)
  • 1 – 3 month bonus
  • 10% pension
  • Accommodation provided (if needed)
  • Longterm stability with a strong project pipeline

What You’ll Do

  • Setting out, QA and day-to-day site operations
  • Oversee civils works: concrete, drainage, groundworks, pumping stations
  • Liaise with subcontractors and site management

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Site Engineer in civils/infrastructure
  • Strong setting out skills (GPS, total stations, laser levels)
  • Civils background – drainage, groundworks, reinforced concrete
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (or similar)
