Safety Manager | Canary Wharf Salary: £75K-£80K + benefits Overview An exciting opportunity for an experienced Safety Manager to join a leading fit-out contractor on a landmark commercial refurbishment project in central London. This high-profile role will focus on delivering best-in-class safety standards on a large, complex project. Key Responsibilities Oversee and implement the project’s health, safety, and environmental (HSE) strategy on site. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure full compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements. Develop and deliver site-specific inductions and safety training. Lead incident investigations, reporting, and corrective action processes. Engage proactively with site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture. Monitor risk assessments and method statements, ensuring they are up to date and effectively communicated. Requirements Proven experience in a Safety Manager or similar HSE leadership role on large-scale construction or fit-out projects. Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH Construction Certificate, NVQ Level 5 in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent). Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and drive continuous improvement in safety performance. Right to work in the UK.
