Location: Blyth, Northumberland
Salary: Β£90,000 β Β£95,000 + Benefits
A leading construction contractor is seeking an experienced Civils Project Manager to join a major data centre development in Blyth, Northumberland. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile project, managing the delivery of key civils and groundworks packages from pre-construction through to completion. The successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing site operations, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of civils and groundworks packages across a major data centre project
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and within budget
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and site teams
- Manage quality control, inspections, and compliance with project specifications
- Monitor progress against the construction programme and drive delivery of key milestones
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and quality requirements
- Provide leadership and support to site teams to maintain a positive project environment
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering large-scale civils projects as a Project Manager
- Strong background in groundworks, earthworks, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure works
- Experience on data centre, industrial, energy, or large commercial projects preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, programming, and site management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Relevant construction qualification (Degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent)
