Our client are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to successfully deliver their project to the highest quality, on time, within budget and implemented within the required safety, quality, and environmental parameters.
This project consists of c.150 apartment residential scheme spread across 3nr blocks consisting of a mix of Shared ownership and Affordable rent units. The project is constructed from a Reinforced Concrete frame with a brick façade and bolt on balconies.
Key Responsibilities- Liaising with site teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders, managing plant/materials, site records, quality and health & safety compliance.
- Setting out and checking works as required for the project.
- Co-ordinating Sub-Contractors including maintaining a daily Site Diary detailing manpower levels for each Sub-contractor and keeping accurate notes of all on-site activities.
- Scheduling daily Work Programmes.
- Scheduling steel reinforcement and other material requisitions.
- Making of concrete cubes including recording locations, sending for testing and analysing results as well as other quality checks as required.
- Taking site and foundation levels.
- Preparing engineering drawings and engineering calculations for planning applications.
- Ensure maintenance of drawing register and ensuring proper distribution of all drawings.
- Attending weekly management team meetings.
- Provide clear leadership and direction to the site team while maintaining a professional manner.
- Relevant Engineering Degree/Diploma Required.
- Minimum of 2 years engineering experience working on large scale high density residential or commercial projects.
- Computer literate in Design Software.
- Competent in the use of instruments such as EDMs, Total Stations, Laser Levels or Dumpy Levels.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team.
