CSA Engineer

Location: Cardiff

Responsibilities:

  1. Sets out the works in accordance with drawings, specifications and site surveys.
  2. Liaises with the project planners regarding construction programmes and supplier outputs.
  3. Checks materials and works in progress for compliance with the specified requirements.
  4. Adheres to all safety company requirements as outlined in the company safety statement.
  5. Inputs into specific elements of the Inspection and Test Plans, and ensures that our supply chain provides test data to back up the contract technical requirements.
  6. Raises RFI’s and resolves technical issues with employer’s representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and statutory authorities.
  7. Quality control and record keeping in accordance with procedural method statements, quality plans, and inspection and test plans which have been prepared by the project management team and by subcontractors.

Experience:

  1. At least 3 years post qualification experience with good knowledge of the sector or experience within a project-based organisation.
  2. Articulate and numerate capable of delivering reports verbally and in writing in an objective and persuasive manner.
  3. Displays good interpersonal and communication skills and acts in an independent and professional manner with the ability to influence others including senior management.
  4. Working knowledge of Control of Temporary Works (ability to act as the TWC is advantageous).
