Quantity Surveyor – Groundworks Specialist
Location: Sidcup (Office-based)
Overview:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established contractor specialising in groundworks. The role is based in the Sidcup head office and offers the chance to work on a range of challenging and rewarding projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all commercial aspects of groundworks projects from start to finish.
- Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
- Monitor project costs, conduct cost value reconciliations, and report on financial performance.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure budgets and timelines are met.
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities to maximise project profitability.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, maintaining strong working relationships.
- Provide accurate valuations and prepare interim and final accounts.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in groundworks.
- Solid understanding of commercial and contractual processes.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
