Overview: Senior Site Manager role for a main contractor overseeing a Cut & Carve project in West London. The project involves an office extension and alteration from inception to completion.
Location: Hammersmith, West London
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all on-site activities to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality and safety.
- Act as the primary site lead in the absence of the Project Manager, ensuring seamless project progression.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and act as a key point of contact for the client, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
- Direct, mentor, and support the site team, ensuring compliance with construction, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
- Effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring adherence to site safety and quality standards.
- Manage day-to-day site operations, identifying and resolving issues promptly to avoid delays.
- Contribute to process improvements to reduce turnaround times and enhance project efficiency.
- Prepare and deliver progress reports, analyse project data, and address problem areas proactively.
- Foster strong relationships with all stakeholders to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
- Background in trades with additional qualifications in construction or site management.
- Experience in managing Cut & Carve projects from start to finish.
- SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS Card required.
- Proven ability to lead a site team and manage a project independently in the absence of the Project Manager.
- Strong understanding of health & safety policies and procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project/Powerproject, and other relevant software.
