Our client are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to support their estimating and commercial teams. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in cost estimating, tender preparation, and commercial management within a dynamic construction environment. You will work closely with senior estimators and project teams to assist in producing accurate, competitive bids for a wide range of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior members of the estimating team in preparing tender submissions and cost plans.
- Assist in measurement of drawings and preparation of take-offs using appropriate techniques and tools.
- Help build and maintain tender documentation, including inclusions, exclusions, unit rates, and assumptions.
- Liaise with internal project teams to gather technical information required for estimating and pricing.
- Support sourcing and comparison of subcontractor and supplier quotations, ensuring competitive pricing.
- Maintain organised records of estimating data, rates, and historical pricing information.
- Attend internal estimating and project meetings to support knowledge development and coordination.
