Contracts Manager – Asbestos

Hampshire, UK

Permanent | Full-time

£70K-£80K + car allowance, pension, and other benefits

A leading name in the specialist contracting sector is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee asbestos-related works across Hampshire and the surrounding areas. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and operationally strong manager to join a well-established business delivering high-quality remediation and refurbishment projects across residential, commercial, and public sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple asbestos contracts from mobilisation to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Manage and coordinate site teams, supervisors, and subcontractors, maintaining strong communication and high performance throughout each project.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams, ensuring professional client relationships and effective problem-solving.
  • Monitor compliance with HSE legislation and asbestos-specific regulations (CAR 2012), producing and reviewing RAMS and ensuring high safety standards.
  • Support with tendering, planning, and cost control, working closely with commercial teams to monitor project profitability and contractual obligations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and quality assurance reviews.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing licensed asbestos removal contracts in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of asbestos regulations and site safety requirements.
  • BOHS P402 (or equivalent) and ideally P405 or NEBOSH/SMSTS.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets and schedules.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
