To provide a global procurement service to all business functions, ensuring continuity of supply of all indirect goods and services required by the back to operate. To provide specialist advice on procurement strategy, ensure best value to the Bank across all third party spend, while minimising third party risk, in accordance with the ICBCS Third Party Risk Framework and related policies.

To support the ongoing business needs in the development and continuous improvement of the procurement systems strategy, maintaining procurement systems, producing management intelligence and preparing management information reports including supplier and business spend reporting.

Other procurement activities such as market analysis, benchmarking, involvement in tender and contract management and supplier performance reporting are also required.

To ensure, in conjunction with the Financial Crime Compliance team, that procurement processes effectively and appropriately address financial crime risks, including the risks of money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery and corruption, fraud and sanctions breaches.

The role holder will also lead and manage a team of 6 staff based in London. Collectively, the team will deliver a high quality procurement service to support ICBC Standard Bank requirements.

What you\’ll be doing

Sourcing

Manage / Lead/ Support commercial negotiations with relevant vendors and stakeholders (across multiple business lines) ensuring that favourable commercial terms which mitigate business risk are put in place.

Procurement Operations

Proactively manage the Purchasing approval process ensuring that PRs/POs have the correct approvals in line with Finance Policies, and are supported by appropriate contracts.

Market Data

Proactively manage, lead, and support commercial negotiations with Market Data Vendors.

Create and lead with a vision for the Procurement function which focuses on balancing customer service with compliance and delivery of cost efficiencies.

Client Relationship Management

Proactively manage client expectations with regards to approval timeline and the need for early engagement.

Compliance, Governance & Reporting

Act as a centre of excellence within the Procurement team for knowledge of policies which affect purchasing, including, for example, the Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy, the Fraud Policy and procedures on third party risk management.
