The objective of the HR department is to advise, support and partner with the business to enable the Bank to achieve its strategic intent. The constantly changing commercial and regulatory landscape heavily dictates the way in which the Bank operates and evolves and our role in HR is to support the business in their people plans with hiring the right people, training them well and ensuring that our reward strategy aligns to the desired conduct and culture of the Bank.
What you'll be doing:
- Payroll is a key function with responsibilities in delivering accurate and timely pay to our Permanent employees/assignees and non-executive directors.
- Reporting to the Head of Payroll, handling key payroll duties such as processing payments, maintaining records and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- The role holder will address payroll queries and assist in continuous improvements initiatives.
We're looking for the following skills and experience:
- End‑to‑end Payroll Delivery: Accurate administration of monthly payroll for a large permanent population.
- Statutory & Regulatory Compliance: Full compliance with UK payroll legislation.
- Payroll Systems, Controls & Reconciliations: Maintenance and enhancement of payroll systems, monthly/year‑end reconciliations.
- Qualifications, Experience & Technical Expertise: CIPP‑qualified (or equivalent) payroll experience within professional services would be desirable and strong proficiency in payroll systems.
- Payroll & Legislative Knowledge: In‑depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation (PAYE, NIC, pensions, statutory payments) with an understanding of global mobility tax implications.
- Engagement and collaboration: Internal and external stakeholders interaction to ensure Payroll compliance.
