Principal Analyst – Pop Health Management & Neighbourhood Intelligence in Bodmin

This is a fixed term contract / secondment opportunity until 31/03/2027. Working as part of the team, you will gain experience in using data and population health intelligence to support neighbourhood working. You will respond to day-to-day analytical queries, work with a range of health and care datasets, and help turn data into useful information for local teams. You will use analytical systems and tools to maintain and analyse data, produce reports and insights, and work with colleagues across the system to understand local populations, identify areas of need and support service improvement and change.

As Principal Analyst for Population Health Management and Neighbourhood Intelligence, you will lead the delivery of high-quality analytical insight to support population health improvement, neighbourhood working and the reduction of health inequalities. You will work collaboratively with clinical, operational and system partners, provide expert analytical advice, manage projects and staff, and champion innovative, data-driven approaches across the Integrated Care System.

The responsibilities include:

• Provide highly complex, specialist advice for the utilisation of large and complex health and care data sets to provide deeper understanding of neighbourhood populations, how patients use services across the health and care sector, variation in access and outcomes, and opportunities to improve outcomes and use resources more effectively, giving persuasive explanations of complex concepts.
• Manage and deliver a portfolio of projects, including the ability to plan, juggle competing priorities and tight deadlines for self and team, and work autonomously to drive own work programme and that of team members.
• Ensure that the ICB and ICS meets its obligation to produce statutory returns and national datasets within prescribed timetables.
• For hybrid working we offer the flexibility to work from an office (Bodmin, Truro, Exeter), and from home, depending on the requirements of the team.
