DEPARTMENT: - Engineering JOB TITLE: - Maintenance Engineer (Canning) RESPONSIBLE TO: - Engineering Manager GENERAL DESCRIPTION: - This role requires a proactive engineer who can combine strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and positively influence colleagues.

You will play a key role in driving engineering standards, improving equipment reliability, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

You will also be expected to support the site's Reliability Programme , applying structured problem-solving and Root Failure Analysis (RFA) methodologies to eliminate repeat failures, reduce downtime, and improve asset performance.

An understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles will be beneficial in identifying waste, driving efficiency improvements, and delivering sustainable operational gains.

Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on canning and packaging equipment, and bottling equipment when required.

Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.

Minimise downtime through effective fault finding, root cause analysis, and Root Failure Analysis (RFA).

Support the site's Reliability Programme through proactive maintenance and equipment improvement activities.

Identify and implement opportunities to improve asset reliability, maintainability, and performance.

Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles to improve safety, reliability, quality, and efficiency.

Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's CMMS system.

Support equipment installations, upgrades, and engineering projects.

Ensure compliance with all Health
