As a 180 Healthcare Recruitment Consultant, you’ll focus on the candidate side of the desk—building a reliable pipeline of healthcare professionals and placing them into temporary or permanent roles. You’ll source, screen, onboard, and manage candidates end-to-end, ensuring compliance is tight and candidate experience is excellent. This is a fast-paced role suited to someone who enjoys high-volume relationship building, strong organisation, and delivering results.
Key responsibilities
- Candidate sourcing & attraction (180 focus)
- Proactively source healthcare candidates (e.g., carers, support workers, HCAs, nurses—depending on your market).
- Run candidate attraction campaigns using job boards, social media, referrals, and local outreach.
- Build and maintain a live pipeline aligned to client demand and shift requirements.
- Conduct high-quality screening calls and interviews (competency-based + availability).
- Match candidates to roles based on skills, experience, location, shift patterns, and compliance status.
- Maintain regular contact to maximise engagement, retention, and shift fulfilment.
- Manage end-to-end onboarding including: Right to Work, ID checks, references, DBS, training, and any client-specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and evidence trails to meet audit and regulatory expectations.
- Ensure candidates remain compliant and renew documents/training as required.
- Be the main point of contact for candidates: bookings, queries, performance feedback, and issue resolution.
- Drive retention by understanding candidate goals and placing them in the right environments.
- Handle candidate welfare concerns professionally and escalate appropriately.
- Work to targets for candidate registrations, compliant starts, placements, and shift fill rates.
- Keep systems up to date (ATS/CRM), ensuring accurate notes, availability, and compliance status.
- Collaborate with 360 consultants / client managers to align candidate supply with client needs.
