Role Overview
As a Duty Manager – Extra Care, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of our care services. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Extra Care service, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.

- Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all residents and staff by maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
- Coordinate care plans and liaise with healthcare professionals, residents, and families to ensure personalised and effective care delivery.
- Manage staffing rotas, monitor attendance, and address any performance or conduct issues promptly and fairly.
- Respond to and resolve any incidents or emergencies efficiently and compassionately.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including incident logs, care documentation, and regulatory compliance paperwork.

Qualifications And Experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within Health, Nursing or Social Care, ideally in an Extra Care or similar setting.
- Relevant qualifications such as Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, safeguarding procedures, and care quality standards (CQC).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to lead by example, motivate a team, and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Compassionate, patient‑centred approach with a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life for service users.
