We're looking for an experienced, motivated and compassionate Assistant Care Manager to support the delivery of outstanding domiciliary care services and extra care services from our Wirral office, while helping drive the success and growth of the branch.

In addition to supporting our domiciliary care operations, you will also provide operational support and oversight to our Assisted Living Facility when required, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care across both services.

  • Important Information Before You Apply
  • Have previous experience in a supervisory or management role within domiciliary care
  • Hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Have access to your own vehicle
  • Hold, or be willing to obtain, business-use motor insurance
  • Be willing to undertake enhanced DBS clearance
  • Be able to participate in on-call duties and provide operational support when required
  • A Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care, or working towards one, is desirable.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Supporting the day-to-day management and coordination of the branch
  • Ensuring high-quality domiciliary care is delivered to service users
  • Maintaining accurate records, reports and documentation
  • Managing and investigating complaints from service users and employees
  • Recruiting, onboarding and supporting new care staff
  • Producing and managing staffing rotas to meet service demands
  • Supporting business development and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory, operational and health & safety requirements
  • Participating in on-call duties and responding to operational emergencies when required
  • Providing hands‑on care support during periods of staff shortage where necessary
  • Building positive relationships with commissioners, stakeholders, customers and colleagues
  • Working collaboratively across departments to deliver excellent outcomes
  • Supporting the ongoing development and performance of the care team

Most importantly, you'll help ensure people receive safe, compassionate and person‑centred care every day.

  • Experienced within domiciliary care management or supervision

  • Previous experience producing staff rotas, managing recruitment processes and supporting operational performance is highly desirable.
