The Hardman Trust is seeking a strategic, financially experienced and mission-aligned ICAEW Chartered Accountant to join our Board of Trustees as Treasurer. We support people on long sentences to take their next steps in life, providing tailored practical and financial support to help people find belonging, move into work or training, and reach their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure strong financial health and compliance.
- Support effective resource allocation and robust oversight of risk, controls, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and reserves.
- Provide clear financial insight to support Board decisions.
- Chair the Finance and Resources Sub-committee.
- Work closely with the Chair, CEO, Senior Leadership Team and wider Board.
Required Qualifications
- ICAEW Chartered Accountant.
- Sound independent judgement, strategic vision and strong communication skills.
- Prior trustee experience essential; previous charity Treasurer experience desirable.
Commitment
This is a voluntary role requiring approximately two days per month, with quarterly Board meetings and quarterly Finance and Resources Sub-committee meetings.
