We are seeking a skilled and innovative Design Engineer (HVAC) to support the development of bespoke HVAC solutions for a range of client projects, with a particular focus on energy efficiency and sustainable system design. The successful candidate will also contribute to the continuous development of the engineering team, support ISO9001 quality processes, and bring strong technical knowledge, particularly in HVAC and M&E (mechanical and electrical) systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop bespoke HVAC systems tailored to client requirements, with an emphasis on energy efficiency and innovative solutions.
- Work collaboratively with project teams both on-site (globally) and in the Cheshire base office to facilitate project execution.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, data, and specifications to ensure compliance with project needs and regulatory standards.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge-sharing to support the development of the wider engineering team.
- Maintain and promote ISO9001 standards, ensuring consistent and high-quality project delivery.
- Manage time and project tasks effectively to meet deadlines and project milestones.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong and up-to-date HVAC background with solid understanding of system design, operation, and commissioning.
- Good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical energy systems.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Building Services, or related field).
- Chartered status or working towards chartered status with MCIBSE, IMechE, or a similar professional body.
- Analytical skills with the ability to review, interpret, and improve upon technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality engineering work.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors.
- Familiarity with international standards and practices related to HVAC design and energy efficiency.
