As an Out-of-Hours (OOH) Driver, you play a vital role in ensuring our clinicians can safely reach patients across Sussex, day or night. Every journey matters. Every shift brings new challenges. What You’ll Do
- Drive with Purpose: Transport clinicians to patient homes safely and confidently.
- Travel across Sussex, including rural and remote areas.
- Navigate varied environments, ensuring efficient movement between visits.
- Support clinicians entering and leaving patient homes.
Keep Our Doctors Equipped and Ready
- Prepare the OOH vehicle with essential medical equipment and supplies.
- Carry out simple vehicle checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Transport medical equipment using a trolley and keep the car organised so clinicians can access items quickly.
- Support with moving equipment to and from storage areas.
Support the Clinician Throughout the Shift
- Stay available to help the doctor during and between visits.
- Act as a chaperone during home visits when requested, supporting patient safety and providing an additional reassuring presence.
- Help carry equipment to and from the vehicle when needed.
