Express new ideas, take initiative and save lives. Others talk about being brave, at IC24, we’re made that way.
From providing high quality integrated urgent care for over six million people, to thinking of innovative solutions for our patients – every role at IC24 is made to be brave. The dual job purpose of this exciting role is to be the first point of contact for patients upon arrival at a dedicated base, welcoming them and ensuring their confidentiality is always maintained, whilst also providing transport to GPs on visits around the locality to visit patients.
The receptionist element of the role would include comfort calls to patients, appointment booking or incoming calls about a possible bereavement. This part of the role requires empathy and competent IT skills to navigate your way around a computer screen, whilst talking to a patient on the phone who is potentially in distress.
The driver element of the role will include vehicle and medical equipment checks, as well as use of an IC24 car to transport clinicians to a call where a person is in need. This could also include you accompanying the clinician into patient homes. Due to this, the role requires applicants to hold a full, clean, manual driving licence.
This role includes a variety of tasks throughout the shift, keeping it balanced and interesting, whilst always remaining focused. There are achievable options for progression within a variety of roles.
