My client is a market leading global IoT technology company, with a wide range of hardware & software products/services. They are looking to hire a Global Software Engineering Manager to take on a senior, strategic leadership role with responsibility for a global software team spanning the UK, North America and India, comprising circa 35 people across internal and outsourced teams.
You will be a proven global software leader, who has already built, shaped, and led large, distributed software organisations and who can drive cultural and operational transformation while maintaining a strong technical foundation.
Key skills/experience required:- This is a hands-on leadership role with full accountability for software delivery, execution, and organisational performance.
- The individual must have a strong track record of delivering complex software products on time, using clear planning, estimation, KPIs, and execution frameworks.
- Experience leading distributed, multicultural teams across multiple regions and time zones is essential.
- The role requires deep knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices, with the credibility to challenge and guide architects and technical leads.
- Candidates must have operated in SaaS and cloud-based environments and be comfortable integrating platforms into customer cloud estates (Azure, AWS, etc.).
- Specifically looking for someone who has led through change, improved ways of working, and built high-performance cultures with clear ownership and accountability.
- Stakeholder management is critical, with the ability to engage senior leadership, product, customers, and external partners confidently.
This is a hybrid role (3 days per week in the office). They are based in Bristol and have plenty of parking onsite. A great opportunity to play a pivotal lead role for this successful organisation!
