My client, a leading distributor of electronic components, is looking to hire a Supplier Business Manager to support key suppliers across Europe and lead a team. This role is based in Poland and is remote.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main corporate point of contact for assigned suppliers.
- Advocate the company’s value proposition to designated suppliers and communicate their products, plans, and objectives to the company’s Sales and Product Marketing teams.
- Coordinate all activities related to suppliers, focusing on strategies that enhance growth and profitability.
- Support the company’s sales and marketing strategies and collaborate with suppliers on joint plans and programs.
- Facilitate communication of issues and opportunities between suppliers and the company’s management, Product Management, Asset, and Sales teams.
- Work with divisional and district Sales Management and Regional Product Management to develop and implement supplier-specific sales strategies.
- Collaborate with Asset on inventory, commodity profiles, stocking packages, and related matters.
- Develop annual corporate business plans for all assigned suppliers.
- Lead the creation of annual branch business plans in partnership with branch and district management, and develop cooperative marketing and advertising plans.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve key business metrics continuously.
- Work with suppliers and the company’s IS and Marketing teams to automate transactions and develop website links and content.
- Coordinate product training and sales promotions with suppliers and the company’s Sales and Product Management teams.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with core suppliers and semi-annual or annual reviews with others as needed.
- Manage a small team of 2-3 individuals.
Requirements
- Fluent English language skills.
- BSEE or equivalent degree.
- Established network within the electronics industry, working with manufacturers such as TE Connectivity, Molex, Amphenol, etc.
- Market knowledge of electronic components, especially PEMCO (passive, electromechanical, or connectors).
- Ability to travel.
