Principal Physical Design Engineer – Bristol
A pioneering company specialising in neuromorphic technology for on-device edge AI products is seeking a talented Physical Design Engineer to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Physical Design Engineer who looking for an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of innovative technology, in this role, you will be in a lead role working on cutting-edge AI technology.
As a Physical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of the Physical Design flow and lead the Physical Design team. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to groundbreaking developments in artificial intelligence and signal processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementing full P&R flow of Hierarchical level blocks & Top level from Netlist to GDSII
- Conducting place and route operations
- Performing clock tree synthesis
- Carrying out Static Timing Analysis (STA) and sign-off procedures
- Executing physical verification, including DRC and LVS
Requirements
- BSc in electrical engineering or higher
- Proven experience in 6+ sucessful tapeouts
- Experience working across the full RTL-GDS flow
- Experience with EDA standard tools (Cadence is preferred)
- Proficiency in writing TCL scripts
- Excellent social, verbal, and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, multi-site, or remote environment
- UK working rights
Although based in Bristol this role can consider remote work for Engineers already based in the UK.
