This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior PDK Engineer to join a world-leading Semiconductor company based in Edinburgh, UK. The Senior PDK (Process Design Kit) Engineer will join a world-class chip development team designing high-performance ASICs. As the business expands, they have a need for an experienced PDK Engineer to become the main key contact for PDK for the UK silicon team and work in close conjunction with the PDK team in the US.
The Senior PDK Engineer will include developing and integrating technology files, models and decks (DRC, LVS), and working with the design and layout teams to support tapeout. The role will also involve mentoring and training less experienced PDK Engineers, and longer term will involve growing the PDK group.
The successful candidate will be an experienced PDK Engineer, ideally with at least 8 years of experience, with:
- A University degree within Electrical Engineering or similar field
- Strong experience within CAD, and a background within the analog / mixed-signal IC design field
- Strong hands-on experience with PDK development, installation, customisation and validation
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team and thrive in a dynamic environment.
