Working for a leading semiconductor R&D department, I am recruiting for a high-level GPU Architect to work on the latest R&D developments in Graphics Hardware Processors. There is also opportunity for leadership within this exciting R&D team for GPU Hardware. A key-selling point is this is a highly innovative and exciting opportunity to work with leading experts in GPU R&D to define cutting-edge Graphics products in the industry. This is a multi-functional role, where you will also contribute to the future strategy of next-generation IP.
Salary details: Salary will be based upon years and relevance of experience - circa £100k and/or above for highly-skilled architects.
Location & additional info: This is a UK based role, so 1st preference and priority will be given to applicants with UK working rights. There is also the potential for hybrid/remote/fully remote working from other European locations. Visa sponsorship and relocation support can also be considered for qualified applicants who are motivated to relocate permanently to the UK.
Key / Must-Have skills:
- Significant knowledge and experience with design and architecture of GPU IPs - Graphics Hardware Processors (5 - 10+ years' experience)
- Strong understanding of modern 3D graphics and/or compute APIs, such as Vulkan, D3D12 and OpenCL, CUDA etc.
- Definition of high-level GPU architecture/micro-architecture
- Confidence knowledge in the ASIC digital design flow
- Experience in R&D of the latest products and features
- Ability to take a concept through to production and delivery/tape-out, including performance review, analysis, costing, and optimisation
- Understanding of the product's design & verification needs, standardisation, adherence to frameworks and methodologies e.g. UVM
- Excellent communicator, with a keen interest in team collaboration and a clear approach to the design & development process
Bonus / Nice-to-have skills:
- Digital Video processing/video compression/video codecs or similar field
- Image signal processing
- (Computer) arithmetic/maths/algorithm development or algorithm implementation
- Modelling - System C, UML, TLM 2
- Strong maths and algorithm skills
- Understanding of/analysis of: compiler performance/driver performance
- Functional Safety - ISO26262
- Graphics software development
