Senior Recruitment Consultant specialising in RF Design | RF Systems | Antenna Design | MMIC Design – Globally

A long-standing client of ours, known for engineering cutting-edge RF and mmWave systems for demanding applications, is looking to hire two experienced RF Solutions Architects to support their continued expansion in the Space and Defence sectors.

This is a unique opportunity for senior engineers who want to step beyond hands-on design and move into a strategic, customer-facing role. As an RF Solutions Architect, you’ll lead technical input into major bids (ESA, MOD, NATO), shape product capability strategies, and act as a trusted technical advisor to high-profile clients.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the technical response for complex space and defence bids, translating RF capabilities into clear, competitive proposals.
• Influence product strategy through customer engagement, market insight, and competitive analysis.
• Create compelling technical marketing material including capability briefs, white papers, and presentations.
• Represent the business at industry events, customer meetings, and conferences across the UK and Europe.
• Work closely with internal engineering and commercial teams to align product development with market demand.

What we’re looking for:

• Extensive experience in RF or microwave systems design, technical bid leadership, or product strategy within space, defence, or satcom.
• A deep understanding of RF subsystems – amplifiers, filters, integrated modules, and high-frequency systems.
• Strong technical writing skills and a proven track record in high-value proposal development.
• A degree in RF Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or similar (postgrad or PhD a plus).

The role:

• This RF Solutions Architect position is remote-first, with travel (approx. 10-20%) required within the UK and Europe.
• Preference for candidates who can occasionally travel to the client’s UK offices in Cambridge, Manchester, Leeds or Durham.
