This leading developer of wireless communications technologies is urgently seeking a Principal Engineer 5G / 6G RAN to be based at their R+D Centre in London. The Principal Engineer 5G / 6G RAN will be involved in research and development of emerging 5G and 6G systems relevant to 3GPP RAN wireless standards. Along with this, the Principal Engineer 5G / 6G RAN will be pivotal in driving next generation innovation and development addressing the challenges of future wireless systems development.

The Principal Engineer 5G / 6G RAN will also contribute to the development of innovative solutions, algorithms and protocols, addressing emerging technologies in wireless, video and AI applications. Your background will include extensive research and development experience gained in emerging wireless communication system development (3GPP, RAN, 5G, 6G) coupled with a successful track record delivering software and system projects for emerging wireless technologies. Hands-on systems and software development skills around 5G 3GPP systems are also essential, and any experience delivering information into wireless global standardisation projects would be beneficial. Current or recent experience working with 3GPP Standards Organisations is essential.
