A Power Systems Engineer is required to join a specialist engineering team developing autonomous platforms for use in harsh environments. The Power Systems Engineer will design and integrate power architectures for next‑generation unmanned systems. This role involves hands‑on development of robust energy solutions for long‑duration, harsh‑condition operation.
- Architect power distribution and conversion systems for autonomous drones and remote sensor platforms
- Develop ruggedised uninterruptible power solutions and redundancy schemes for mission‑critical electronics
- Perform simulation, analysis and validation of power circuits and energy‑storage subsystems
- Work with electronics, firmware and mechanical teams to ensure reliable system‑level power integration
- Support environmental testing, field qualification and performance assessment
- Document designs, test plans and engineering reports for internal and external stakeholders
Background in power electronics, energy systems or hardware design:
- Experience in DC‑DC converters, battery systems, UPS design or harsh‑environment electronics
- Practical testing, fault‑finding and validation experience desirable
- Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering or related discipline
